This is the view from the northern part of the new garden and we have a "fisheye" view from the Curved Magnolia Maze right around to the desert garden at the end of November 2008.
In the middle of the photograph and planted in the bottom of the valley is a collection of American magnolia species including M. tripetala and M. macrophylla.

The next photograph is from the upper rigth of the photograph above, and shows the view from the macrocarpa slab, over the desert garden, to the mountain.
